A piece of history that most people don’t know is that Fedde le Grand had a partner when he started his Flamingo Records imprint and it was fellow countryman, Funkerman. The Dutch producer has been a staple in the dance music scene for years with his distinctive groovy house originals. Last week, Funkerman released a brand new single, “Coming Home,” in which he places a coarse, vintage vocal sample into a modern day house breakdown to deliver a time machine of a track. His ability to pull inspiration from classic genres and inject them into modern dance tracks reinforces Funkerman’s knowledge in the industry.
