Directly answering SFX Entertainment’s recent acquisitions of Promoter Plus Talent and Listn, Live Nation has acquired a majority stake in C3 Presents. Based out of Austin, Texas, the independent promoter’s impressive list of credentials includes owning and operating Austin City Limits Music Festival, producing Lollapalooza, partnering with Big Day Out, and even working on Barack Obama’s Election Night celebration.

Valued at $250 million, C3’s acquisition marks another valuable entity to be scooped up by the powerhouse that is Live Nation. With Creamfields, HARD Presents, and Insomniac Events under their wing, Live Nation is not only the world’s largest concert promoter, but a kingpin among electronic music’s roster of global festivals.
