Maceo Plex – Conjure Dreams (Original Mix)
Being introduced courtesy of his own imprint Ellum Audio in March of this year, the last of Maceo Plex‘s conjure series is finally upon us. Over the four-release series that spanned imprints such as Kompact, Minus, and now Drumcode, the finale consists of two original mixes and one of those is “Conjure Dreams.” A drifting techno cut that utilizes dark pads throughout, Maceo Plex’s unique layering ability quickly introduces a glimmering riff that adds an undeniable rhythm. The producer’s first stint on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode — which had an equally impressive 2014 — Maceo Plex’s addition to the imprint’s arsenal of techno weapons joins the likes of Nicole Moudaber, Alan Fitzpatrick, Harvey McKay, and the label’s founder.
