Shazam looks back at 2014: Disclosure, Avicii and David Guetta dominate

Joining Spotify which recently unveiled their 2014 streaming statistics, Shazam has showcased its year end leaders. While Disclosure emerged as the only electronic music artist among Shazam’s most searched artists in the United States, the application’s worldwide list is dominated by two of electronic music’s biggest stars: Avicii and David Guetta. The two international icons reign atop Shazam’s most searched worldwide artists in 2014, while Calvin Harris sneaks into the top ten in front of Pharrell Williams.

Beating out Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” and Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” Discosure’s “Latch” was the second most Shazamed song in the United States this year. A surprise appearance comes from Robin Schulz, whose remix of “Prayer In C” only fell to “Rather Be” and “All Of Me” in Shazam’s most streamed songs around the globe.
