After destroying the remix game with their heaven trap brand, the diabolic duo, Slander, are ready to flex their original production muscle. The first of many festival-detailed, mega-trap monstrosities, “Vanguard” finds the duo in familiar yet uncharted territory. Some of the most thrash worthy kicks and devastating percussive flairs in the game are paired with a sandblasted sawtooth synth that gives the mix a decidedly death metal aesthetic. Not for the feint of heart, Slander’s first foray into the original production circuit proves that they are more than capable of taking off their training wheels.
