Jimmy Napes – Give It Up (Original Mix)
When it comes to song production, Jimmy Napes typically prefers life behind the scenes. He’s been a major force in the success of Disclosure‘s “Together” and Sam Smith‘s “Stay With Me,” as well as the writer for Clean Bandit‘s “Rather Be,” but now the London based singer-songwriter is gearing up for the release of his own EP this March. “Give It Up” is a song that Jimmy has created from the ground up, from his own falsettos filling the track to retro synths and production work he did on his own. In a BBC interview with Annie Mac, Sam Smith attested to his friend’s success; “Jimmy truly does everything himself…it’s proper music.” The Making of Me is set for release on March 9th through Method Records.
