Lemaitre – All I Need (Prince Fox Remix)
Last year, Prince Fox became the talk of the blogosphere when he broke the internet with his future pop remix of Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me.” Since then, he has seen a meteoric rise due to his rebel reputation to make pop cool again, officially remixing Cazzette, Florence & the Machine, and now Lemaitre in the process. Lemaitre blew the world away this summer with their Singularity EP — especially with “All I Need” — and now in tandem with Astralwerks, the Norwegian duo have employed the help of some of dance music’s youngest talents for a remix package of “All I Need” including Prince Fox.
After his out-of-the-box cover last week with Hotel Garuda, the prince jumps back up to the plate with a serving of his signature future pop flair in what may be his best remix yet. Allowing vocalist Chuck Inglish’s vocals to shine bright, the NYC producer carefully concocts a hybrid of vibey bass explosions, slick lyrical placement, and a catchy pop backbone to spawn a remix that transcends labels.
