2015 has been anticipated to be the breakout year of many genres: tropical house, future house, future bass, etc. Since the recent explosion of sub-genres, fans have been finding hundreds of producers creating sounds that no one had ever heard before. One of the most popular last year was future house. The funk-infused genre was spearheaded by two of dance music’s finest, Oliver Heldens and Tchami, and several others have been injecting their creative flair into the genre’s backbone.

A couple months ago, LA-based producer Christofi quit his desk job to pursue music full-time and broke onto the scene with his groovy remix with Glenn Michalels of Mary J. Blige’s “Real Love.” Today, Christofi has decided to hit the ground running in 2015 with a brand new remix of songstress Mariah Carey’s “Emotions”. The future house newcomer layers intricate bouncing piano melodies with addictive percussion arrangements and a pulsing bassline to formulate a dance floor trailblazer. Although bedroom producers surface every day, Christofi has proven his definitive musical craftiness and continues to surprise us with every release.
