Last fall and winter, Matt Caseli marked his return to Zulu with a slew of releases on the record label, but perhaps none evoked as many feelings of nostalgia in long-time dance music connoisseurs as this new take on the .Nuxx edit of Underworld‘s “Born Slippy.” Produced in collaboration with frequent studio partner Terry Lex and vocalist Catraz, “Born Slippy .Nuxx” is a modern and chic rendition of the timeless classic. The rhythm stays strong throughout most of the track, witch occasional breaks to let the vocals of the original weave their spell over the listener. Overall, though, it’s refreshing to hear such an iconic and monumental track in the history of electronic music thrown over a beat that was made for the modern dance floor.
