LA-based imprint, Next Wave Records, has been quickly evolving their position as a curator for the dance music’s scene brightest upcoming talent. To shake things up a bit, the typically tropical/disco label brings a refreshing summertime anthem, “Catalina Bounce,” from SoCal producer Rambo V. Taking us back to a warmer time full of bathing suits and pool parties, “Catalina Bounce” interweaves tasteful vocal chops and whimsical chord progressions to add a zesty flair to the track’s underlying bouncing bassline. Rambo V creatively blurs the lines between deep house, tropical house, and even tech house to bring a little sunshine to this year’s snowy winter.
