Skogsrå debuts the ‘Skogstape’ series with fresh tunes aplenty

Skogsrå’s touch of instrumentally cleansed indie dance has more than made up for the fact that very little is known about the (supposedly) Scandinavian artist. Where 2014 was all abour remixes for the likes of Tobtok, Montmartre and Pride, the New Year beckons the first instalment of his Skogstape concept – one as quirky in its debut as we’d expect from the vaguely branded dance interloper.

With programming as varied as D’Angelo, RAC and Linsday Lowend, it’s safe to say that Skogstape number one carries on that weird and wonderful penchant we have come to expect from Skogsrå’s own material to date, but with even more genre throwbacks. Eclectic and elegantly executed, this is a mix that truly celebrates the concept of exploring music in a concentrated manner whilst ditching the more predictable tendencies of modern mixes.
