Alison Wonderland announces official album release date, premieres new music video for ‘U Don’t Know’

Here’s a double-dose of good news for Alison Wonderland fans. As one of the most bright and promising talents from down under continues to skyrocket, anticipation for Wonderland’s debut full-length record is at an all time high. The Astralwerks star’s rookie LP, titled Run, is slated to be released officially on April 7th in the U.S.  Along with exciting news detailing the long-awaited album’s release, Ms. Wonderland is also dropping a little treat to tide over her fans’ appetites. Enlisting the help of Flaming Lips front man Wayne Coyne, the pair put together “U Don’t Know,” which is now accompanied by its own official music video.

Wonderland and Coyne, both known for their own unique styles of artistry, although on vastly different ends of the spectrum, come together for a hollow, haunting electronic ballad that is personified in the official video featuring Wonderland herself alongside Superbad’s Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Playing a much different character than everyone’s favorite hopeless high school nerd McLovin’, Mintz-Plasse and Wonderland find themselves tangled in a harrowing situation which appears to be the clear result of an unhealthy relationship gone severely wrong. But before you think you’ve seen it all, Wonderland’s video takes a swift plot twist as the lovers’ story comes to an end.

Check the video here, and pre-order Alison Wonderland’s introductory full-length record Run, prior to its spring release.

Preorders for the album are open today via iTunes.
