Bassnectar remixes The Glitch Mob’s ‘Beauty of the Unhidden Heart’
After a nearly four year hiatus, The Glitch Mob were revitalized with the release of their sophomore album, Love Death Immortality. With a consistent theme throughout and some of their best work to date, the LP proved the perfect followup to Drink the Sea. Now, one year after the album brought them back to the forefront of the bass world, The Glitch Mob have revealed the official remixes to Love Death Immortality with Bassnectar leading the charge.
Back in 2012, The Glitch Mob remixed “Heads Up” from Divergent Spectrum, and now Lorin Ashton has returned the favor. Taking on one of the more memorable productions from the album, Bassnectar transforms “Beauty of the Unhidden Heart” into a meditative rendition suitable for home listening and festivals alike. Rearranging the melody and instilling plenty of low-end satisfaction, Bassnectar once again shows off his remixing prowess.
The Glitch Mob said of the rendition:
“Lorin is an old friend of ours and one of our favorite people. His remix of Mr. Projectile “I Am Back” is an alltime favorite. Lorin’s remixes are outstanding. We did a remix of “Heads Up” a few years ago, and always have fun creating with him.”
