Big Gigantic bring the funk with ‘Get On Up’
While electronic music production has become an increasingly virtual, or ‘in-the-box’ process, Big Gigantic are one such group keeping the spirit of live musicianship alive. The Colorado duo pull from roots as diverse as jazz, funk, and hip-hop to create an exciting blend of styles that easily meshes with their bass-driven approach.
Big Gigantic’s newest is “Get On Up,” a funky number centered around a catchy horn motif and a quick vocal sample. The track progresses from a casual beat to a high energy main section with enough trap stabs and laser-wielding leads to satisfy any festival goer. As usual with the Colorado crew, the track is available as a free download.
