After remixing Coldplay’s “Magic” and Nick Jonas’s “Jealous” the Rooftop Boys set their sights towards Borgeous & Shaun Frank’s latest Spinnin’ release “This Could Be Love.” The original was stunning on its own, but the New York duo amplify its appeal with their unique spin on tropical house hallmarks. The production work is clean and the mix flourishes with striking piano chords and great, but even the occasional bongo can’t soften the sound’s grittier electro edges. Consider this a scorching New York summer to everyone else’s beach side retreat.
