Last month, Borgeous & Shaun Frank released their genre-bending single, “This Could Be Love,” with the intent of launching a remix contest simultaneously, giving aspiring producers a platform to step up to the plate. Stand-out remixes included The Rooftop Boys’ summerbass spin on the tune, and now 16-year-old producer Steve James reworks “This Could Be Love” into an imaginative progressive anthem.

With top-notch remixes of Dillon Francis and ZHU already under his belt, the tender aged producer again demonstrates his adept ability at melding his instinctive knowledge of the big room with charismatic chord progressions. James uses vocalist Delaney Jane’s natural emotion to guide his production and complements her passionate croons with thumping bass kicks and heart-warming synth bursts. His remix takes fans on a time warp back to their first encounters with teenage puppy love.
