Carl Cox shares BPM set via Global Radio, reaches No. 1 on three charts
Fans who missed the magic down in Playa del Carmen can relive a taste of it via Carl Cox‘s killer set from the Carl Cox & Friends party that took place January 9 at Mamita’s Beach Club. Released one week ago on Mixcloud via the British techno/tech house heavyweight’s recent Global Radio show. The mix starts off with a heavy dosage of groove and that chic, melodic techno that makes one think of sea breeze and crystalline waters. There’s plenty of Latin influences and flavor through the set as well, from rumbling tribal drums to swing, teasing rhythms that ooze sensuality and fierce heat. The set grows steadily but surely, making it apparent from early on that this is a musical journey centered around keeping the heart of the dance floor pulsing. So far, the upload has reached No. 1 on the Electronic chart, Techno chart and Tech House chart, and finished 2nd on the House chart. Listen to it below:
