Fool’s Gold Records co-founder Dust La Rock passes away

Fool’s Gold Records co-founder Dust La Rock has passed away at the age of 38. Known to friends and family as Joshua Prince, alongside partners A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs, Dust La Rock played a major part in the Brooklyn-based imprint’s foundations, playing multiple roles inside the powerhouse record label. Working as not only an artist, but as a designer and an art director on various Fool’s Gold projects, Dust La Rock also played an instrumental role in the artistic designs that accompany A-trak and Armand Van Helden‘s Duck Sauce project.

A-Trak confirmed the news today and artists from across hip-hop and dance music have reached out wishing their condolences. Currently news regarding Prince’s untimely and sudden passing is scarce. More on this as details are confirmed.
