George Fitzgerald primes debut LP with lead single ‘Full Circle’
When George Fitzgerald signed with Domino back in 2013, all signs pointed to a debut album from the eclectic underground talent behind some of Hotflush and Hypercolour’s finest moments. With Fading Love now scoped for release on April 27 via the label’s Double Six imprint, BBC Radio One have introduced the 10-track LP’s lead single, “Full Circle.”
Featuring the vocal assets of UK peer Boxed In, “Full Circle” tips its hat to the darker and stripped back remits that Fitzgerald has minted to date. Having recorded the LP in Berlin whilst road testing the material throughout various Ibiza seasons, there is a sense that the LP looks to bridge a gap in the underground sound.There’s been no shortage of uninspiring album efforts of late, but Fading Love’s first strike hints at a personally charged debut from one of the UK’s most vivid musical forces.
