International Dance Music Awards reveals 2015 nominees; Hardwell leads with nine nominations
In late March of this year, the 30th annual International Dance Music Awards will return to Miami’s Winter Music Conference and celebrate 2014’s superior artists in 57 categories, ranging from “Best Global DJ” to “Best Remixer.” As voted by fans, Armin van Buuren holds an impressive seven nominations for this year’s ceremony, in the categories of “Best Global DJ,” “Best European DJ,” Best Trance DJ,” “Best Trance Track,” “Best Compilation or Full Length DJ Mix,” “Best Podcast or Radio Mixshow DJ,” and “Best Global Music Label.” Hardwell comes out on top with 9 total nominations, including one for Best Global Music Label for Revealed Recordings. Avicii, Calvin Harris, and Kaskade stand closely behind Armin and Hardwell, with multiple nominations under their belts.
Despite the heavy recognition of dance music’s biggest stars, other highly notable names such as Ten Walls, Shiba San, Umek, Justin Martin, MK and Robin Schulz have also been included in the nomination pool.
