Jauz reveals details on Skrillex collaboration

Los Angeles’s Jauz left a memorable mark on 2014 with a collaboration with Borgore, a release on Mad Decent, and a feature on Jack Ü’s coveted two-hour Diplo and Friends mix. In 2015, his acclaim continues onwards, paving what could be the producer’s biggest year yet. Rumors of a partnership between him and Skrillex began to circulate the Internet after Jauz began including the track in his shows and hinting at it on his social media pages.

In a recent interview with THUMP, he confirmed the collaboration, though still in-the-works, is definitely real. “The track started as an idea I had written a while ago, it was pretty cool as it was but I knew it needed more and I knew it was right up Sonny’s alley. I sent it to him and didn’t get anything back for about a month and was like ‘great, he probably thinks I’m so dumb for thinking he’d wanna work on a song with me’ and just about exactly when that thought went through my head. he hit me back like ‘Yes, dude, send the project ASAP. Lets do it!'”

Within 12 hours of that, he sent me back a version that was completely different from what I sent him. I knew he was gonna kill it, but I had no idea he was gonna totally flip it on its head like that, I remember the first time I listened to it I couldn’t stop grinning, like “holy shit, this is the track I sent him? For real?’ I can’t wait to wrap it up here soon and show you guys the finished product, and definitely am looking forward to whatever the future has in store for both Sonny and myself.”

For now, “the tune is still in its infancy,” and release date details remain to be seen for the unnamed track. Be on the look out for more information soon.
