The true spirt of house music is alive and well thanks to artists like Julio Bashmore. The Bristol-based producer is never one to forget the genre’s history, as evidenced by the plethora of R&B and disco influences that blanket his tracks. With the aid of London vocalist and instrumentalist Bixby, Bashmore’s newest is a delicate groover. Teeming with hard-panned percussion and a gentle lead, “Kong” pairs simplicity with soulfulness. The track will arrive on Julio Bashmore’s own Broadwalk Records as part of his forthcoming debut album.
