Finally, a tune that successfully manages to blend elements of deep house, classic house and soul without sounding like another Tchami or Oliver Heldens record (no offense, Tchami or Oliver). With “Still On It,” Brooklyn-based produced Panic Bomber lays down a groove like only an NYC local can; dark and sensual, it takes you back to the original era of “jacking” when the word was less of a trend and more of an unspoken rule of the dance floor. Throw in some clean, polished piano chords and an infectious vocal sample and you’ve got a tune that will settle comfortably under the skin of even the greenest party-goers. Although he’s proven himself in the past to be a true chameleon when it comes to musical style, “Still On It” proves once again that PB is most at home producing “groovy, dark house jackers”, as he calls them.
