Toolroom Trax are securing the future of the underground sound scope one carefully selected cut at a time. Their pedigree from Mark Knight’s original outlet can’t have hurt, but since re-emerging in 2014 the label has hosted Adrian Hour, Filterheadz and Knight himself in an upfront celebration of solid club records.

For a label that pushes predominantly tech house and techno, Trax’s incorporation of the latter has seen them scale the lifeblood of the genre to yield unprecedented results. Seville’s Rafa Barrios does not ditch this trend, bringing groovy techno with a haunting melodic backbone to the table to secure a 15^th strike of gold from the UK label.
