ASTR – No Type (Rae Sremmurd Cover)
ASTR started making waves on SoundCloud two years ago. Since, then they’ve released their first EP, made their Diplo and Friends debut, and toured expansively. One of the things that’s helped make them so popular is their covers; in the past they’ve put their spin on Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home” and Beck’s “Gamma Ray,” and they recently took on Rae Sremmurd‘s “No Type.” On the latest cover, Zoe lays heartfelt vocals over Adam’s dreamy instrumental. And though it has a whimsical feel at times, its sharp drums give the song enormous energy. It’s a brilliant cover, and it’s available now as a free download.
