Though Billon’s Dive In includes collaborations with both Todd Edwards and Nu:Tone, the EP’s best song may well be “Nothing,” one of two solo efforts on the release. Billon effortlessly meshes aspects of house, disco, pop, garage, and more, crafting a diverse but seamless track. “Nothing” has grand sweeps, bubbly pops, and sultry vocals, all of which help make it every bit as inviting as it is mysterious. And though all four of Dive In‘s songs are truly beautiful, the smoothness and undeniable infectiousness of “Nothing” make it the EP’s standout track.
