New Facebook app converts text into music

At this year’s F8 Developer Conference in San Francisco, Facebook revealed plans to turn its Messenger service into an open platform for third-party developers. One of the first available upgrades to the service is an app that can turn text into popular tunes. It’s powered by Zya Ditty, a text-to-autotune generator that allows the user to choose a background song from a music bank and watch in amazement as the generator syncs the 20-second music clip to the words and creates a text-based music video. Some of the songs available at launch are Sia’s “Chandelier,” The Kingsmen’s “Louie Louie” and OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars.” Watch the demo below.
