Hot Since 82 to bring ‘Taken’ concept show to US
Back in August, Hot Since 82 inaugurated a new concept called ‘Taken’ where he brought fans to a secret, undisclosed location in London for an all-night private show. Now he’s bringing the unique event series to the US with the first date in Los Angeles on May 23.
The ‘Taken’ concept aims to blend elements of theater and cinema with a classic rave aesthetic. Fans will be picked up from a central location in LA, blindfolded, and transported to an unknown venue. The official site reads: “You will not leave the city, but you won’t know where you are. You will have an unforgettable night. You will be released.”
Hot Since 82 said of the event: “Taken is about pushing the boundaries and giving something back to my fans, a bespoke event that’ll be remembered for years to come. It’s also a little nod to the old illegal rave days, where people didn’t know where the party was being held.”
Tickets for the event won’t be sold publicly — rather, fans can register online for the chance to be selected for the show.
