It’s safe to say the rebranding of Toolroom Records has worked very well in Mark Knight’s favor. Reverting back to its classic sound, the imprint has been producing some of its finest records to date under the new direction. At the helm of it all, Mark Knight has been experiencing one of his more prolific runs, releasing a new track virtually every month. His latest original is “Be Real” off Toolroom Trax’s forthcoming Miami Weapons EP.
The single is a quintessential Toolroom banger. Perfectly sampled vocal cuts intertwine with a chugging bassline for a simple yet convincing approach. A blistering white noise accompaniment on top results in what looks to be another esteemed cut from the seasoned producer.
