Sasha returns with first solo single in years, ‘Vapourspace’
When Sasha presents a new original, we make sure to pay attention. As far as progressive house goes, few artists can boast such an iconic track record as the Welsh producer.
It’s been some time since Sasha’s last solo outing: around 3 years by our count. While the space in-between has been blanketed by some serious offerings, from Involv3r to a collaboration with Joel Mull, a new single from the Welshman has been long overdue. Luckily, “Vapourspace” is here and it doesn’t disappoint. In typical Sasha fashion, the track is nearly nine minutes in length, providing the type of drawn-out journey that lends itself so naturally to his live shows. It’s the type of song that rewards one’s patience with warping soundscapes and a beautiful progression. The deeper you get, the harder it becomes to veer your attention away.
