Dancing Astronaut presents Axis episode 147: Mixed by Riva Starr
Riva Starr has made a career out of crafting hypnotic dance floor records. Italian-born and London-based, he’s one of the more admired producers in the house music realm. While he’s been a seminal force in the underground since 2009, his biggest collaboration arrived in 2013 alongside Fatboy Slim on the now iconic festival anthem, “Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat.” Joining Axis Radio for Episode 147, Starr presents a worldly jaunt of house and techno.
Riva said of the endeavor: “This mix reflects my research into a more raw sounds field. I’m also always on the hunt of the perfect melody that can keep the balance between club vibe and something more… And here you have a few examples of that too. Enjoy and #takesomehouse.”
Riva Starr is celebrating 5 years of his label Snatch with new compilation Square Pegs, Round Holes: 5 Years of SNATCH!, out on May 24.
