The Diplo and Robert Plant collaboration that was originally a joke might actually happen

Sometimes it is easy to get ahead of ourselves, especially when it comes to the industry’s most in-demand personalities. Take Diplo for instance. A few weeks ago, news began to circulate that the Mad Decent figurehead was linking up with Led Zeppelin’s front man, Robert Plant, for a collaboration effort that couldn’t be anything short of legendary. News spread like wildfire, and nobody really seemed too surprised that Diplo would be involved in such a wildcard collaboration, because after all it is Diplo we are talking about here. Following up a collaborations with Justin Bieber and Madonna would require something big, and Robert Plant on a Diplo track would be a game changer. But unfortunately, Wes was merely kidding in his Instagram shot alongside the world-renowned rocker while they were on tour together in South America for the recent Lollapalooza run, a joke that went largely overlooked among all the hype.

However, since false word of the “collaboration” got out so quickly, Diplo has since turned his focus to actually making this collaboration come to fruition after all. What began as a humble nod to the man who beat him for the 2009 Grammy Award for Record of the Year has since shown potential to become an actual project between the two.
