Giorgio Moroder drops new album title track with Sia; listen to ‘Déjà Vu’ now

Giorgio season is approaching. The disco legend’s long-awaited return to music may have begun with his Daft Punk resurgence two years ago, but it will finally be official when his new album drops on June 12th.

Moroder has already let loose album cuts “74 is the New 24” and “Right Here, Right Now,” the latter which features Kylie Minogue, and the third record is now here. “Déjà Vu” is Giorgio’s title track, not just by namesake.

It’s the project’s strongest production (that we’ve heard so far) with the strongest vocals to match. The single is graced by Sia, who’s positioned herself as a top 5 voice in music without showing her face in public. While “Right Here, Right Now” was delivered with pop-crossover potential and satisfied the craving for Giorgio’s top-notch funk, “Déjà Vu” follows suit with great potential to become the one thing its predecessor did not: a smash hit.

Giorgio Moroder’s first album in 30 years is less than two months away from bridging the gap between disco-era disco and electro-pop era neo-disco. When Déjà Vu drops on June 12th, Kylie Minogue and Sia will be joined by Britney Spears, Charlie XCX, Mikky Ekko, and Matthew Koma among others to round off Giorgio’s cast of collaborators.
