Mat Zo shows off his early work with 2006’s ‘Sheep’

Mat Zo is no stranger to genre hopping. Even as a 16-year old producer in FL Studio, well before his string of “trouse” hits, Zo dabbled in techno and tech house. His 2006 piece “Sheep” is heavily inspired by James Holden (think The Idiots Are Winning) and represents a time in his production career where experimentation was paramount. Understandably rough around the edges, “Sheep” is an interesting look back on where one of the genre’s most talented producers got his start.
