Conrad Sewell – Hold Me Up (Throttle Remix)
The newest “dirty disco” output by Throttle is exactly what you need to kickstart your Monday. After his “You Make Me” remix made the cut for Avicii’s Ultra Main Stage performance this year, the Australian funk aficionado returns to the production grind after a five month hiatus to remix fellow national Conrad Sewell’s first solo venture “Hold Me Up.” Sewell made his entry into dance music alongside the tropical house heavyweight, Kygo, when he was the hand-chosen vocalist for the Norwegian’s debut original “Firestone,” but it appears that Conrad has another fan in the space of summertime sounds. Throttle nimbly wedges flickering guitar riffs and a groove-ridden horn ensemble, preserving the vocal-driven pop structure of the swanky original whilst upgrading the instrumental with his own high-octane disco flavors.
