Diplo and Grandtheft flip the script on Rihanna’s ‘BBHMM’
Rihanna set the summer off with an uncontested assertion of her dominance over the pop music spectrum with her latest single. Staking her claim as hip-hop’s leading female representative, the Barbados-bred superstar has procured another smash hit that has everyone hissing the hook, “Bitch Better Have My Money.” The original track is ice cold dominatrix fuel, and even though recently Diplo said he is aiming to retire his solo project soon, an “OFFICIAL” remix opportunity this juicy simply could not be passed up. Linking up with Grandtheft once more, the Mad Decent men offer their take on Rihanna’s latest with a gritty remix, turning “BBHMM” into a certified trap anthem.
Diplo and Grandtheft let Rihanna do the talking as they inject her mean-mugging single with a sharp dose of rattling hi-hat flurries and knocking 808s. Diplo knows gold when he hears it and Grandtheft remixes hip-hop haymakers in his sleep; the pair do “BBHMM” more than justice on this remix, they flat out up the ante.
