Juliet Sikora channels Larry Levan and Paradise Garage for her solo debut on Kittball

There are few eras in dance music history that are more important than Larry Levan’s time at the Paradise Garage. Kittball’s leading lady Juliet Sikora has channeled the renowned wild and free-flowing energy of ‘the Garage’ into a rollicking modern disco-house thumper for her debut solo release on Tube & Berger’s label. “Larrys Garage” is an impressive festival-primed solo debut from Sikora, using filtered synth riffs, tight snappy drums, and vintage samples of an impassioned woman preaching to entice ears and move hips.

The sampled woman emphatically states, “It’s a tribute to my boy Larry, it’s a tribute to the Garage, and it’s a tribute to us – who are still here,” before the track counts down to three and dives back into a bulging bassline and garbling synth-heavy percussive section. Sikora’s solo release has been a long time coming, as she has racked up an enviable list of remixes and collaborative tracks over the course of Kittball’s illustrious ten year history. The wait from Sikora has certainly been worth it however, and with plenty more projects in the works, the beautiful and multi-talented German producer will certainly be one to keep an ear out for in the future.
