Max Graham leaves Rebrand Records to launch new label Cycles

Canadian DJ and producer Max Graham recently announced his plan to say goodbye to his Armada-distributed label, Rebrand Records. Since founding the label over ten years ago, Graham worked to establish Rebrand as a “family of like-minded artists.” He says that, a decade later, he can look back on the experience with pride and satisfaction. He gives special credit to the Armada team for backing the label and helping it evolve, and to the Rebrand artist family, specifically Protoculture and Solid Stone who “helped create the sound that Rebrand was so known for.”

While the goodbye may be bittersweet to many who followed Rebrand’s growth and expanding roster across the years, Graham says he’s not yet finished with the role of label operator. His next step in the game will be to launch a new imprint dedicated towards encompassing a broader sound and wider variety of melodic techno and true progressive house. He’s named the project Cycles after the successful Cycles Radio show, and says the imprint will serve as “almost a return to the days when trance had an underground groove and genres were not as defined as they are today.”

Cycles already has a steady queue of releases lined up, including material by artists like Solid Stone and Tim Penner. The label’s first release is Graham’s own single “Redemption,” featuring remixes by Alex Di Stefano, Solid Stone and Tim Penner. The release date is still to be determined.

In addition to the label, Graham is also planning an accompanying series of events titled “CyclesLive” which will celebrate talent on the radio show and label.

“I’m very excited to move forward with this new phase and bring everything under the one banner of Cycles,” says Graham.
