Sony has created a 2-in-1 lightbulb and bluetooth speaker
Have you ever wished that your lamps played music? Probably not, but that hasn’t stopped Sony from installing a bluetooth enabled speaker in their new LED lightbulb hybrid. The latest creation from the mad scientist’s over at Sony takes all the convenience of a wireless speaker and hides it in the footprint of a standard bulb, allowing customers to play their favorite tunes without carrying around a bulky wireless speaker. Controlled via your smartphone and bluetooth or the bulb’s dedicated remote, users will be able to adjust the volume and the brightness of the bulb on the fly. Don’t get too excited though, the LED Light Bulb speaker carries a hefty price tag (about $199 USD) and will be available in Japan on May 23.
