LA based by way of Detroit, Jason Steingold knows techno. For over two decades, he’s been an active participant in the underground music scenes of both the East and West coasts as a producer and a as DJ (behind the decks he’s often gone by the name Goldfingers). That rich music history is apparent in his latest full-length Sunrise Sessions mix. The mix takes listeners on a journey across a wide range of sounds, incorporating minimal, melodic, tribal and booming, big room techno across 43 minutes of music. As a set, it moves from the daytime lounge party to the basement club dance floor as seamlessly as the natural progression of a day and night out. During its last leg, the mix brings in a more deep house sound, allowing rumbling bass lines and melodic stabs to carry the journey to a perfect close.
