ADE to launch new new bass music conference, ADE Beats

The worlds of EDM and hip-hop have been experiencing a fusion over the past few years. On one end of the spectrum, there are artists from multiple genres who use rap and hip-hop samples in their songs, from Zeds Dead, to Netsky, to Claude VonStroke. On the other end, trap music, which often provides background music for hip-hop and rap tracks, has been on the rise in both the United States and the U.K.

Due to the increased crossover of hip-hop into the bass music realm of EDM, it’s only natural that this years Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) will be hosting a new conference called ADE Beats. Together with Beats NL Foundation, the Dutch program dedicated toward hip-hop and bass in the EDM industry, ADE Beats will be launching a new conference and showcase that will be eventually integrated fully into the ADE program in 2016. The conference will most likely be beneficial for anyone in this part of the music industry; past speakers for the sister program called Rotterdam Beats have included BBC1 Radio, Boiler Room, Hudson Mohawke, and 2 Chainz.
