Years & Years have been championing the radio this year with the first singles off their first studio album, Communion, of which “King” earned the trio their first UK #1. Already having seen remixes from The Magician, Gryffin, and more, the Dominican Republic’s Lash takes Years & Years’ luring vocal effect and drags it down to the dance floor with a future spin on “King.” Keeping it simple yet forceful with a brisk percussion line and springy keys, Lash uses a heavy bass-loaded drop to send a signal from your brain down to your feet and tell them to get moving.
