Destination Ultra: This is what a Croatia Music Week will look like

Ultra Europe began only two years ago. It was a two-day festival with an additional beach party. Fast forward and it’s matured into the ultimate destination event. Now seven days long and appropriately going by the aliases Destination Ultra and Croatia Music Week, the event sets out to take the live music experience and stretch it into a full-blown vacation. From parties at historic venues with stunning views, to the signature Ultra festival, to yacht and pool parties that could only be seen in Croatia, Ultra Europe is nothing short of… The. Real. Deal.

Cocoon Opening Party @ Giraffe Palm House

Destination Ultra kicks off with its opening party at Split’s new Giraffe Beach House. Visually stunning, the week of music begins with Cocoon playing host and Sven Väth at the helm. Supporting sets will come from Christian, Burkhardt (live), Maurizio Schmitz and Reach Visuals.

The Festival: Day 1 @ Poljud Stadium

Now that things are underway, the festival is the first order of business. Ultra Europe takes place again at the massive Poljud Stadium. Headliners take to the Main Stage immediately, with The Chainsmokers, Galantis, DVBBS and Alesso, respectively, taking the afternoon through its course. The likes of Andy C an Noisa will bring heavy beats to Ultra Worldwide that night and Solomun is expected to hold down the fort at Resistance Arcadia.

The Festival: Day 2 @ Poljud Stadium

And we’re back at the grand Poljud Stadium, after surviving Knife Party and being mind blown by The Chemical Brothers only hours ago. While Armin van Buuren, Axwell Ʌ Ingrosso, Zedd and Martin Garrix lead a strong after-dark Main Stage, Carl Cox & Friends will steal the show as the ringleader is bringing Nicole Moudaber, Yousef and others to join his stage. All the while, Resistance lives on with Guy Gerber.

The Festival: Day 3 @ Poljud Stadium

The bitter-sweet final festival day. By day 3, you’ve experience all there is to behold from the Main Stage, to the Worldwide Stage, to the Resistance Arcadia, so free reign it is. Explore all there is of Poljud Stadium while you can, just be sure not to miss Steve Angello or Flosstradamus when they take the stage, dabble in some trance while you have the chance, and keep Resistance on your radar all day and all night.

Yacht Regatta @ Zlatni Rat Beach

After three days of festival madness, the party moves from land to sea. Ultra’s Yacht Regatta takes the action to the beautiful Brač Island, where Goldfish will supply the live music for the boat partying on Zlatni Rat Beach.

ULTRA Beach @ Hotel Amfora Grand Beach Resort

The pool party to end all pool parties, the annual ULTRA Beach returns to Hotel Amfora. The Grand Beach Resort on Hvar Island makes for the most visually stunning landscape one could witness. Overlooking the Adriatic Sea, Destination Ultra’s opus will be commanded by Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Oliver Heldens, Fedde Le Grand, Moguai and Jewels & Sparks.

Resistance Closing Party @ Fort George

To say Fort George is one of Croatia’s more notable historic venues would be an understatement. And to say that Ultra will transform the multiple-century year-old venue into a nightclub is just as amazing. As Resistance hosted its own stage during the three-day festival, it will return to close out the week’s festivities. Nic Fanciulli, Joris Voorn and Bassett will provide the soundtrack before you have to say your farewells to paradise.
