DJTechTools just shared this fiery routine from the hyper-talented Vekked. The DMC World Championships now allow for online submissions and a bit more freedom when it comes to technology and rightfully so. It’s a change that has allowed for some truly unique artistry to emerge from the once turntables-only competition including this submission from the legendary Vekked using a PDX-3000. These routines are the result of finesse and nearly OCD planning; Vekked’s mix is the culmination of over 2 months of careful curation and constant practice.

“I haven’t done anything else for like 2 months and I did over 25 hours of recording to get this take (which wasn’t even perfect), so I really put a piece of my soul into this one.” So much for just ‘pushing buttons.’

The Sega section is particularly impressive, especially for any kid who grew up hearing the iconic “SEGAAAAA” intro sequence.
