DA Premiere: AC Slater teases OWSLA debut with ‘One Step’
One of LA’s most popular party purveyors, AC Slater, has linked with LA’s premiere dance imprint, OWSLA, for Take The Night EP. Landing in full on August 7, the Night Bass leader is teasing the EP with a brand new cut, “One Step,” prior to the collection’s official release. The single is minimal, sexy, and catchy, playing upon bouncy wobbles and fluttering piano strokes. Blending swanky vocal flows with melodic house chords, the track grips to a plucky bassline, as Slater’s latest aligns perfectly with his catalog’s distinct swagger.
As AC’s Night Bass movement outgrew the confines of a running club party, it soon became its own niche, sub-genre of house music. Now, backed by a record imprint with Slater at the helm, Night Bass is crossing over into something much bigger.
