James Blake confirms Kanye West and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon on new album
A weekly spot on BBC Radio 1 and collaborations alongside mainstream music’s largest stars, James Blake has proven an artist skillfully equipped to balance both both the pop and indie worlds. His next studio album, Radio Silence, has been rumored to bring along another roster of the industry’s biggest names according to a new interview with Esquire (via Reddit).
Speaking on the question of Kanye West and Justin Vernon, he said: “I can confirm that they’re on it. Kanye — I’m with him today. We’d already started on something … today we should nail something down. If it doesn’t end up on the album you know it hasn’t worked.” Previous Kanye West and James Blake collaborations include “I Am a God” and “Hold My Liquor,” both of which landed on West’s Grammy nominated album Yeezus.
