Ever wonder what The Smiths would sound like in a deep house setting? Fabio Montana has recently provided that answer in his newest track “Petite Femme II” with Teenage Mutants and Bluberg.

The song begins with rattles in the background along with a vintage electric guitar strumming out a western-style melody. As the vocals kick in, the melancholic melody about a girl growing up too fast is immediately reminiscent of Morrissey from The Smiths. Moving into the second half, things get more intense as synth accents are added in and the track reaches its climax.
