TroyBoi cancels North America tour due to visa issues

Trap music’s hottest producer TroyBoi was set to takeover the US and Canada on his second North American tour, which would have kicked off in June at Oregon’s What the Festival. Unfortunately, TroyBoi had some sad news to share just two days before the the sold-out festival started: he was not able to obtain a visa in time due to an error with the U.S. State Department system.

Because the Fool’s Gold affiliate’s passport is still with the U.S. Embassy, he is not able to leave his hometown of London until the issue is resolved. This circumstance then caused him to reschedule his Canada tour dates to early November.

U.S fans tried to stay hopeful, praying that the glitch, which has impacted plans for thousands of travelers, would resolve in time for the rest of his tour. But yesterday morning, the London-based producer shared some bad news via Facebook:

TroyBoi insists that once the chaos ends at the U.S. Embassy, he’ll be back in North America, and ready to rage harder than ever. It’s unfortunate that TroyBoi won’t make it across the pond this summer, but we’re amped for his return. His Australia & New Zealand tour in August is still on, as well as his next North American appearance in September at Life in Color in Lubbock, TX.

Until then we have his SoundCloud discography to hold us over, as well as his BBC Radio 1Xtra mix from last month, which can be streamed below.
