Zeds Dead & Loudpvck – Flies (Original Mix)
by: Will McCarthy
Jul 18, 2015
Zeds Dead‘s ability to adapt their production to any style has proven to be Darwinian. Famous for their rusty, gridiron dubstep, they’ve successfully forayed into future house with “Bustamove” and “You Know,” their collaboration with Oliver Heldens.
Today, they’ve released “Flies,” a collaboration with Loudpvck, on Mad Decent. The track doesn’t mark Zeds Dead’s first flirtation with trap — “Ratchet,” their 2013 homage to Juicy J, is consistently a fan favorite at performances. “Flies” aptly showcases both duos’ styles, simultaneously laden with the derisive cacklings of Loudpvck’s syntheses and Zeds Dead’s signature razor sharp bass groans.
