Avicii announces ‘Stories’ album release date and tracklist
After a few song leaks and an album push back, EDM superstar Avicii’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, Stories, officially has a release date and tracklist along with a new double A-side that dropped today. Following the album’s first single “Waiting For Love,” co-produced with Martin Garrix, the 25-year-old producer/songwriter unveiled the next two singles titled “Pure Grinding” featuring Kristoffer Fogelmark & Earl St. Clair and “For A Better Day” with Alex Ebert.
Avicii says the album “refines what I didn’t feel was perfect last time. I think there are more layers to the songs than before, and every song has been written on acoustic guitar, so the structure is different.” He also went on to say that since so many records didn’t make the cut for this album, he’ll put those on another album if Stories does well.
The 14-track album is set to be released on October 2 and will reportedly feature collaborations with industry heavyweights like Jon Bon Jovi, Billie Joe Armstrong, Chris Martin, Wyclef Jean and Matisyahu.
